Quick hello from me
You may be getting through the day, but inside you feel overwhelmed, anxious, irritable, or emotionally worn down. You might feel alone, stuck in familiar patterns, or out of sorts. Together we will help you feel more grounded, balanced, and able to respond to life with greater choice and intention.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. We’ll explore your needs and goals at your pace and with care.

My approach
I offer a relational, holistic and practical approach to therapy centered on your lived experience, strengths, and challenges. Our work integrates the mind-body connection to support emotional and cognitive awareness and healthier patterns. As trust builds, we may explore past experiences to better understand what you need now.
Compassion-focused therapy
Meeting your emotions, reactions and patterns with more kindness toward yourself.
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
Practical skills for strong emotions, stress and relationships.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Getting to know the different parts of you with curiosity instead of judgment.
Psychodynamic therapy
Making sense of how past experiences shape how you feel and react today.
Trauma-focused care
Working through painful experiences at a pace that feels safe.
Common questions
Can our sessions be fully in Spanish?
Yes. We can work fully in Spanish, fully in English, or a mix of both, whatever feels most natural to you.
Do I need to know what’s wrong first?
No. You don’t have to feel broken, or believe something is wrong with you, to benefit from therapy. It’s okay if you don’t have everything figured out. What matters is wanting to feel better.
How does online therapy work?
We meet by video at your session time. All you need is a private spot and a phone, tablet or computer with a camera. You need to be in Washington State during sessions, because that’s where I’m licensed.
How much does it cost? Do you take insurance?
Each 1-hour session is $130. If that’s hard to afford, ask about a lower rate based on your income. I take Aetna, Ambetter, Cigna and Cigna EAP, Community Health Plan of Washington, Coordinated Care, Kaiser Permanente (including Kaiser Northwest), Molina Medicaid, Premera Blue Cross, Regence, and UnitedHealthcare (including its EAP and Medicaid plans). If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of your costs (learn more). I take cash, check, cards, PayPal, Venmo and Zelle.
What you pick here isn’t saved or sent anywhere.
Yes, I take . Plans differ, so to know what you’d pay, call the member number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
- Does my plan cover outpatient mental health therapy by video?
- What’s my copay or coinsurance per session, and do I have a deductible to meet first?
- Do I need a referral or pre-approval?
Tell them you’d like to see Bernice Freed Bravo, LMHCA, NPI 1316644347.
Yes, I take . EAP plans usually cover a set number of sessions at no cost through your job. Call your EAP number first and ask:
- How many sessions do I get?
- Do I need an authorization number before my first session?
Tell them you’d like to see Bernice Freed Bravo, LMHCA, NPI 1316644347.
I’m not in network with your plan, but it may still pay back part of the cost. Call the member number on the back of your card and ask:
- Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health therapy by video?
- How much of a $130 session would you pay back, and do I have a deductible to meet first?
- Do I need a referral or pre-approval?
Tell them you’d like to see Bernice Freed Bravo, LMHCA, NPI 1316644347. You can also ask me about a lower rate based on your income.
That’s okay. Each 1-hour session is $130, and you can ask me about a lower rate based on your income.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel at least a day (24 hours) ahead and there’s no charge. A quick text or email is enough. Missed sessions without notice may still be charged, depending on the reason, out of respect for my time and for other clients.
Is what I share private?
Yes. What you share stays between us, with the few legal exceptions every therapist follows, such as a risk of serious harm. We go over them in your first session.
